2017: Played 14 games and made eight starts in the outfield … Scored six runs … Went 1-for-3 with a run scored in a 5-1 victory over Eastern Michigan (Feb. 25) … Scored a run a three straight games as part of Columbia’s 4-0 weekend against Dartmouth and Harvard (April 1-2) … Stole her only base of the season against Harvard (April 2).

2016: Played in all 48 games while starting in 46 … named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week on March 8 … tied the program single-season record with three triples … finished fourth on the team with a .268 batting average … went on an eight-game hitting streak between Feb. 27 and March 12 … finished the year with eight multi-hit games … went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a triple and a stolen base against George Washington on March 4 … finished 2-for-2 with a double, a RBI, a stolen base and a hit-by-pitch against Robert Morris on March 5 … ranked second in the conference and 26th in the nation in sacrifice bunts per game (0.25) … finished sixth in the league and 112th in the nation in triples per game (0.06) … hit first career home run in the final game of the season against Penn on April 30.

Personal: Comes to Morningside Heights from Champion High school in suburban San Antonio ... Played her final two seasons in Texas after transferring from Severna Park high school in Maryland ... Led her team to the Class 5A Texas State Playoffs after batting .488 with seven doubles and an on base percentage of .618 during her senior season ... During her junior season, Metzger earned All-District honors, along with being named honorable mention All-League as a junior and sophomore ... Has family ties to Columbia and the Ivy League, as her uncle, Gene Larkin, played baseball for the Lions before winning two World Series titles with the Minnesota Twins, and her sister, Grayson, is a current utility player for Brown ...
