Field Hockey Blanks Lehigh on Sunday, 2-0

Lions win second straight with goals from Ashley Kim and Mckenzie Bloom

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Columbia field hockey shut out Lehigh, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon for its second consecutive victory.

Ashley Kim opened the scoring for the Lions (5-9, 2-4) with her second goal of the year at 11:50 of the second quarter. Sam Petrucco was credited with an assist.

Mckenzie Bloom added Columbia's second goal of the day just 3:36 into the third quarter. The Lions went up 2-0 and didn't look back. 

Goalkeeper Katie Wimmer earned her sixth career shutout and fourth of the season with nine saves in the cage. Lehigh outshot the Lions, 22-16 (9-8 on goal). Jacinta Solari Etcheberry tallied two shots on goal.

Columbia hosts Dartmouth next Sunday at 10 a.m. for Senior Day.
