Lacrosse Hosts #15 Penn on Saturday

This will be the Lions' annual One Love game and Alumnae Game
NEW YORK - The Columbia lacrosse continues Ivy League action on Saturday, as the Lions will host #15 Penn at Robert K. Kraft Field. First draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.
INITIATIVES
In addition to this being Columbia's annual One Love game and Alumnae Day, the Lions will also be paying tribute to Kathleen Roskot.

LAST TIME OUT
The Lions fought hard but fell short in a high-scoring affair against the Cornell Big Red, 19-13, on Sunday afternoon at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.
Maddie Brogan led the way for the Lions' offense with a career day, scoring four goals and tallying five points. Anna Becker added a hat trick, and had four points on the day. Cecelia Messner had three points, with two of them being goals. Cordelia Flemming and Ellie Taylor each had two points, and so did Michelle Zhai, who had two assists.
On the defensive end, goalie Simone Koryszewski started her fourth consecutive game and accumulated seven saves. Ava Kimche also appeared in goal and added three saves of her own. Maddy Goger led the team with two caused turnovers, and added a ground ball. Julie Griswold and Koryszewski were tied for the team lead with four ground balls each. Dani Falcone led the team with seven draw controls, and Taylor and Flemming each had four draw controls as well.
SCOUTING PENN
The Quakers enter Saturday's contest with a 4-3 record, with all three losses coming to top-10 teams -- two of which came by just one goal (one in overtime). Penn also owns a win over #16 Loyola Maryland
Penn most recently took on #7 Florida, falling to the Gators 13-12 at Fraklin Field. The Quakers are 1-0 so far in conference play, beating Dartmouth 17-7.
Last year, Penn finished 15-5 with a 5-2 mark in the Ivy League. the Quakers advanced to the Ivy League Championship, but Lost to Yale, 10-9, in overtime. They went on to advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament where they lost to #1 Northwestern.
In last year's matchup, Penn took down the Lions, 16-5, in Pennsylvania. Falcone led Columbia with two points and two assists in the game, while five different Lions found the back of the net. Flemming caused three turnovers and scooped up three ground balls.
Anna Brandt leads the Quakers with 26 goals on the season. Keeley Block and Catherine Berkery have combined for 49 points. Maggie Bankowski leads the team with 39 draw controls.
