ABOUT THE LIONS: With back-to-back home victories last weekend, Columbia improved to 3-2-0 overall and tallied its 200th program win. The Lions stingy defense garnered shutouts in both matches with Allison Spencer in goal in the 1-0 win over Manhattan and Gabby Dubick in the 1-nil triumph over Iona.
First-year Rachel Alexander notched the decisive score in both games to become the Lions early leading scorer this season. The Silver Springs, Maryland native joined Spencer in earning Ivy League Weekly Performance Honor Roll selections.
LAST TIME OUT: The Lions blanked Iona 1-0 for back-to-back home wins at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13. After gaining control of a beautiful right cross into the box by Emma Anderson, Alexander kept her poise just long enough to knock in the early game deciding score within 2:21 minutes of play into the game.

SCOUTING THE RAMS: Ranked fourth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll, Fordham has won three consecutive games to enter Friday's match at 5-2. The Lions will be the Rams second Ivy League opponent this season after suffering a 2-1 loss to Princeton last month. Both teams also share wins over local foes Wagner and Manhattan. Five goals and an assist by Jessica Widmann leads the Fordham offense, while Megan Fitzgerald anchors the defense in goal with a pair shutouts this year.
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS: Army (2-5-0) will be looking to snap a four-game skid this weekend. The Black Knights will take on the Lions on Sunday after hosting rival Navy on Friday night. Army's offense has went cold since its last win against Youngstown State, 2-1, in late August and has yet to find the back of the net in its last four outings.
