Lions Continue Non-Conference Play at Siena Saturday

The Columbia women's lacrosse team will take on the Saints at noon ET in Loudenville, N.Y.
NEW YORK – The Columbia women's lacrosse team continues its non-conference schedule this Saturday, Feb. 22, traveling to face Siena at noon ET in Loudenville, New York.

LAST TIME OUT
Columbia (0-2) will be facing its second-straight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponent, after falling to Fairfield, 13-6, on Wednesday at Rafferty Stadium. Sophomore attacker Rachel Graff led the Lions in their scoring efforts in the contest, recording her first hat trick of the season and second of her career.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Siena (0-1) will be playing the first home game of the season after falling, 18-8, at Brown on Tuesday in their season-opener. Sophomore attacker Kaitlyn Dowsett led the team with three points on two goals and one assist in the outing, while senior midfielder Anna Bennan also added two goals.
Last season, Siena finished with a 12-7 overall record including a 6-2 mark in MAAC games.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The 2019 campaign marked the first-ever meeting between the Lions and Saints, with Columbia earning a season-opening 13-12 victory at Wien Stadium. Now-junior attacker Alexandria Absey had four goals in the matchup to lead the Lions in goal-scoring.
UP NEXT
Columbia returns home for its Ivy League opener next Saturday, Feb. 29, facing off against No. 9 Princeton. Opening draw is set for noon inside Wien Stadium.
