HIGH SCHOOL
At Oceanside High School, Alison Schwasnick was a four-time letter winner as a midfielder. Ali’s unmatched speed and hustle helped her collect an impressive career total 133 goals, 51 assists, 179 draw controls, 159 groundballs and 84 caused turnovers. Recognized by Newsdays in their top-100 lacrosse players in Long Island for four consecutive years, it's no surprise that Schwasnick is a three time All-County honoree and lead Oceanside to the 2016 Nassau County Class A finals in her team MVP season.

The lacrosse blood runs strong in the Schwasnick family dating back to her grandfather, Ernie Schwasnick, playing for Adelphi from 1959-62. Both her father, Michael Schwasnick (1983-86), and uncle, Peter Schwasnick (1987-90), played at the University of Maryland and her brother, Luke Schwasnick, is currently competing at Syracuse University.

Schwasnick capped her senior year with All-Nassau County accolades and U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American honors . As a National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society and Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta) member, her performance in the classroom mirrored her excellence on the field. She comes to Columbia with goals of becoming a physician.
